Would you like to find out about becoming Catholic? Do you have questions about what it means to be Catholic? Maybe you have been a Christian in another Christian tradition. Maybe you have no formal Christian background. Perhaps you were baptized as a baby in the Catholic Church or in another Christian denomination but that is the extent of your Christian formation.

We would like to invite you to participate in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initation) class!

RCIA time and dates will be announced in the Fall!

If you grew up Catholic and are interested in coming back, contact us! Also, check out Catholics Come Home. This ministry is an awesome resource for those looking to come back home.

"Whoever opens his heart to Christ will not only understand the mystery of his own existence, but also that of his own vocation; he will bear the abundant fruit of grace." - St. John Paul II

Simply put, a vocation is a call from God - so everyone has a vocation! Regardless of our current vocational state (student, married, dating, in religious formation, single, etc), God calls each of us to holiness in our own unique way (CCC 825). It is up to each of us to follow wherever God is calling us each day.  It is through these small acts of faith that we will be able make the big decisions in our lives and discern our vocation.

If you are discerning a vocation to the priesthood, please contact Fr. Eugenio (Gino) de la Rama, Director of the Vocations Office for the Archdiocese of Newark at (973) 313-6190 or at

If you are interested in pursuing a vocation to Religious or Consecrated Life within the Archdiocese of Newark, please contact Fr. Emaka Okwuosa, S.D.V., Director of the Office for Religious Life of the Archdiocese of Newark, at (973) 497-4368 or at
